GYM FOR ALL

GYM FOR ALL

GYMTOTS 2 - 5 year olds (pre-schoolers)

Our fun programme helps develop movement skills, co-ordination, confidence, an understanding of the body and how it moves, upper and lower body strength and much more. It is organised on an age basis - this is a guideline to ability level of the class rather than definitive as to which class your child must enrol in. This is a parent and child programme so that you can encourage, learn and support your child/children.

Our casual Gymtots class is for those families who for various reasons may not be able to make a weekly class. Whilst this class has a structured circuit setup it does not have the weekly progression that our term classes provide.

GYMFUN 5 - 7 year olds (beginner level)

This programme is all about Fitness, Fun and Fundamentals. It includes swing, springing, balance and statics, rotation, locomotive skills, ball and manipulative skills and landings. These classes are based on GYMSPORTS NZ's (GSNZ) Kiwi GYMFUN programme. This programme has six levels with participants gaining a badge (at a small cost) along with a GSNZ certificate, when they have achieved the progressions within each level.

GYMPLUS 7-12year olds (intermediate recreation level)

Building on fundamentals, GYMPLUS classes have a stronger focus on specialist gymnastics skills. In the GYMPLUS class participants will have the opportunity to work towards GymSport New Zealand (GSNZ) Incentive Awards. These classes are designed for both older gymnasts, and gymnasts who have some grasp of basic skills.

GYMSKILLS (advanced recreation level)

This is a specialist class and in this class the children learn more advanced skills similar to the competitive programme, but work at their own pace. In addition, children will work towards the GymSport New Zealand (GSNZ) Incentive Programme.

TRAMPOLINE (7+ year olds)

In our trampoline class you will learn the basics of trampoline as well as developing strength and co-ordination. Participants in this class can progress through to our advanced trampoline class.

  • provide enjoyable opportunities for as many girls and boys to participate in gymnastics and become competitive at a national level or with a higher  commitment to become international class athletes.
